| Ashiatsu Bar Therapy |
Ashiatsu oriental bar therapy is an early massage technique used by the Buddhist monks. This form of bodywork has always been related to traditional shiatsu as it incorporates the basic principles of traditional Chinese medicine. The word “ashiatsu” means “foot pressure” (“ashi” means foot, and “atsu” means pressure).
Ashiatsu oriental bar therapy is an adaptation of traditional ashiatsu barefoot massage. It involves a rhythmic stroking of pressure over the body. It's one of the newest forms of massage therapy and Chere was trained by Michelle Mace in southern Florida. The technique uses a combination of gravitational force and deep compression massage to relieve muscle pain through a push-pull-pumping effect on the muscles of the patient. Overhead bars are used by the therapist for balance and control over the patient while they apply the foot massage. Proper technique will stimulate the lymphatic system and produce deep relaxation. |
| |
| Hot Stone Massage |
Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. The therapist uses many stones of various shapes and sizes.
It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage. The heat helps tight muscles release. The heat of the stones helps muscles release more quickly than in traditional massage. |
| |
| Prenatal/postnatal Massage |
Massage during pregnancy is therapeutic bodywork which focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of the childbirth experience.
This massage modality requires a release form from the pregnant patient's primary health care provider. |
| |
| Swedish Massage |
Swedish massage is a gentle manipulation of the muscles, which improves circulation, eases muscle aches and tension, and creates an overall feeling of relaxation and well being. |
| |
| Neuromuscular Massage |
Advanced concepts in pressure therapy is used to break up the stress and tension in hyper contracted points in the muscles. This causes increased circulation, bringing in freshly oxygenated blood and nutrients to the trigger points. |

| Therapeutic Massage |

| |
| Couples Massage |
Chere and another massage therapist combine to give a couple a special experience together in the same comfortable, relaxing environment. |
| |
| Infant Massage classes |
Infant massage obviously benefits the infant, this is one of the main reasons for giving massage. Caring touch is good for everyone, and infants especially who are new to the world need the reassurance of someone special being there for them. But have you considered that the massage can be beneficial to the giver too?
Chere conducts Infant Massage classes, teaching parents and infant care givers the art of proper Infant Massage. |
